The Neuroscience of Personality: Finding Your Flow with Dario Nardi |
|
The brain is the hungriest organ of the body, and when you find your state of flow, you become calm and energized, improving wellness. For over 50 years, people have gained comfort and insight from using Type. Today the emerging field of neuroscience is validating Jung's pioneering theory of eight cognitive functions. Ongoing brain research supports Jung's model and brain imaging literally paints a rich picture that we can draw upon to foster coaching, leadership, and creative skills in order to enhance general wellbeing. At the intersection of neuroscience and psychology, UCLA professor Dario Nardi has discovered that people of different psychological Types don't merely rely on different brain regions. They use their brains in fundamentally different ways, with tremendous implications. |

Using colorful anecdotes, hands-on activities, and brain imagery, Dr. Nardi shares key results and humorous anecdotes from his lab. In lab, he views people's brain activity in real time as they engage in everyday activities from signing their name to participating in a speed dating game. The results are clear: Type matters. As a participant, you will learn specific "must know" points for each of the 8 Jungian functions and also how people of each of the 16 types can achieve "flow" (a state of total creative engagement). When we are in flow, we are equally calm and energized. You also will learn behavioral cues and activities that appeal neurologically to people according to personality type and help evoke and sustain a state of flow. This is a applications workshop rather than a technical or theory-based presentation. |
